Madrid

July 1, 2013
Yesterday was the first of what will probably be many trips to Madrid. It is only half an hour away by train. We took a train with only one story, but double decker trains are not uncommon.

The middle of the train station in Madrid looks like a jungle, but that is because it is filled with Madrid's cutest invasive species, the turtle.

Madrid's other most common invasive species, the parrot, is not so well loved. In fact, a term for an ugly woman in Madrid is loro (parrot).

We walked all around Madrid, stopping at different important sites to hear about their history and significance.

(This is a wall, believe it or not)
