Soria

 July 5, 2013

Today we went to Soria, which is along the river Duero.

The river is beautiful.
The mountains near the river have red sand and little red flowers. Most of the houses in the city have a redish tinge too, but I don't know if that is related.

We visited the most crowded cemetary I have ever seen.
There were so many tombs that each had to be numbered and there was a sign directing mourners to the correct row.
We also went to a church built on a cave. The natural air conditioning of the cave felt very nice on this 40 degree (celsius!) day.

The bridge next to the church has many locks on it. Lovers put them there as a symbol of always being together.
